Editorial modeling · Staś
Staś, in front of a camera.
real photographs.
Modeling is one of Staś’s jobs. A photographer first invited him to try it, and he stayed because a camera gives one clear task at a time: find the mark, hold the look, make a small movement. He is fourteen, looks younger, communicates without speech, and works best on calm sets that prepare access instead of improvising it.

Non-negotiables
A set that is safe enough to work on.
clear before call time; calm while shooting.
- 01
All bookings go through management and guardians.
- 02
No sexualised concepts and no underwear, swimwear, sleepwear, or bath work.
- 03
No swimming, bath, splash or water-on-body concepts. His altered laryngeal anatomy, aspiration history and weak cough make this a safety boundary, not a styling preference.
- 04
No strobe, surprise touch, shouted direction, or unplanned behind-the-scenes filming.
- 05
One direction at a time, preferably shown or written; touch is explained and agreed first.
- 06
Eating or drinking on camera happens only when planned in advance with an approved safe texture.
- 07
Staś can pause or stop. A minor’s no is a complete production answer.
Production brief
What makes the day work.
Send a written plan, keep the crew compact, name each person’s role and agree every extra before the day begins.
Call time
His diagnosed non-24 sleep-wake disorder shifts his available hours. Confirm the date, exact hours, breaks, and travel close to the shoot and in writing.
Diagnoses and access
Relevant diagnoses include bilateral vocal-fold agenesis, autism, acquired partial hypopituitarism with growth hormone and gonadotropin deficiencies, C-PTSD, a depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and non-24. The access guide explains what each one changes on set.
Room and crew
A quiet base, visible exit, low scent, no background music by default, and a compact team introduced by name.
Direction and styling
Show a pose or give one short step. Explain and ask before touching hair, face, wardrobe, or devices.
Wardrobe
Staś dresses himself. Do not put adult hands on his body for fit checks; pin from outside the garment. Bring EU 128 and 134, then use the confirmed fitting sizes.
Hair and makeup
Gentle styling is fine. Avoid hot tools near his ears, strong fragrance and heavy product. His freckles should not be covered by default.
Food and drink
Swallowing is much safer after four operations, but food and drink on camera still require advance agreement. Use familiar, approved items and do not improvise a snack shot.
Performance range
Neutral, curious, focused, quietly amused and gently sad all work. Open-mouth laughter, screams, kiss faces and forced ‘cheeky’ posing do not.
Wrap
Finish at the agreed time. Group photos, interviews, reels, and extra looks are separate asks.
Good fit
Work he can bring something to.
- · Editorial stills and print stories.
- · Silent movement, dance, character work and visual narrative.
- · Book covers, reference photography, arts, fashion and poetry imagery.
- · Thoughtful campaigns that do not depend on dialogue or oversized expressions.
Wrong fit
Work the team will decline.
- · Anything needing dialogue, whispering, screaming, or audible laughter.
- · Sexualised, body-fix, cure, diet, or medical-spectacle concepts.
- · Water-on-body or uncontrolled reality formats.
- · Cameras left running between takes or surprise social-media content.
- · Direction that asks for exaggerated faces, ‘cheeky’ posing or distress as entertainment.
Before sending a brief
The questions production usually has.
Can Staś work in video?
Yes, when the performance is silent. He can work with expression and movement, but cannot provide vocal sound.
How long can he work?
The team agrees hours, breaks, travel, and legal limits for the specific date and location. Do not assume a generic full day.
Can hair and makeup work with him?
Yes. Explain each step, avoid surprise movement, ask before touch, and keep strong scent and hot tools away where possible.
Can a shoot take place near water?
A dry location near water can be discussed. Water on his body, swimming, bath scenes and improvised splashing are not accepted.
Who stays on set?
A legal guardian and a member of management stay with him throughout the booking.
How are rates and travel handled?
Management quotes the editorial rate and a usage fee based on territory and duration. The client covers travel and accommodation for Staś and one guardian.
How is he booked?
Email management@mutestas.com with the concept, dates, location, usage, team, safeguarding plan, and access information.
